About Guns to Gardens Charlotte
Myers Park Presbyterian Church, in partnership with RAWtools South, is sponsoring a drive-through, anonymous, and safe way to dispose of unwanted firearms. All without ever leaving your car. Our trained volunteers receive each firearm and dismantle it in real time. The parts are then transformed by a blacksmith into meaningful new pieces like garden tools, jewelry, and art.

By participating, you help reduce the risk of gun-related accidents and theft while supporting creative reuse that honors healing and community renewal.

Drive-Through Firearm Donation & Anonymous Drop-Off

A streamlined, drive-through service that allows community members to donate unwanted firearms without leaving their vehicle. The process is designed to be anonymous, calm, and respectful, helping reduce risk at home while supporting a safer community.

On-Site Safe Handling & Real-Time Dismantling

Trained staff manage safe intake and immediate dismantling of donated firearms in full view, ensuring responsible handling and clear accountability. This service emphasizes safety protocols, secure workflow, and transparent event operations from arrival to completion.

Transformation Into Art, Jewelry, and Garden Tools

Dismantled firearm components are later repurposed by a blacksmith into functional garden tools, jewelry, and community art. This service turns a moment of disposal into lasting impact, supporting education, reflection, and community-led healing through creative re-use.
